Getting Ready For CAMT!

So...who wants to spend a Saturday at training after all that STAAR testing?
Well, I did but it was training/preparation for presenting at CAMT.
Dinah Chancellor is the genius who organizing the Math-A-Rama event for CAMT.  This is my second time to present and work with her, and she amazes me every time.  She is so brilliant and her goal is to help teachers get more comfortable with math, much like myself except I'm not a genius.  I also enjoyed planning with two of my best teachers.  I makes me feel so at home to get back to planning staff development.  I do get to do staff development as an Assistant Principal but it's usually not the subject of my passion (Math).  It is usually safety procedures and/or discipline.  YUCK!
I actually want to give a shout out to my friend, Reagan @ Tunstall Teaching Tidbits since our activity is her idea.  Check out her blog.  Our activity is the comparing place value (hot dogs).  She is a creative genius as well.

    1. I do love presenting to teachers, and math makes me so excited. It's not exciting for every teacher, that's why I like to help make it easy for them to teach. Reagan's new pack is adorable. Just when I think her stuff can't get any cuter, she knocks it out of the park. Sometimes, I just feel lucky to have her on my campus.

Hi! I'm lucky to get to work with Reagan. I got four evals done today! That's a record...until tomorrow. Maybe I'll throw in a fire drill just to be ambitious. Lol

Aren't you close to San Antonio? You should present and then you could go for free! Math-A-Rama is a great way to present short sessions for a half-day and then you can go to the rest of the conference. I hope you get a chance to come. Have a great week too.
